Electrocoin was a UK-based arcade cabinet distributor that localised Japanese arcade titles for the European market. Their proprietary wiring standard predates the JAMMA (Japan Amusement Machine and Marketing Association) specification and was designed to allow interchangeable game PCBs in generic upright cabinets such as the Silverline and Goliath. The connector uses the same 28-way card-edge format as JAMMA but with different signal assignments; notably, pins 16 and 18 were originally allocated for third- and fourth-player start buttons before being repurposed when multi-button games became common. Electrocoin did not publish an open wiring standard; connector details survive only in individual game service manuals, several of which are preserved on the Internet Archive.
