6 PIN DIN FEMALE at the Monitor
The Commodore 1084 and 1084S colour monitors include a 6-pin DIN female socket for analog RGB input, intended primarily for use with Amiga computers connected via the DB-23 video port. The connector accepts analog RGB signals at 1V ±0.5 Vpp into 75 ohm termination, with separate horizontal and vertical sync lines. This input is distinct from the 8-pin DIN socket found on the same models for digital TTL RGBI signals; the two modes cannot be used simultaneously. The 1084D and 1084DS variants replaced both DIN sockets with a single 9-pin D-Sub connector.

Notes
- The physical connector at the monitor is a 6-pin DIN female; the mating plug on the cable is a 6-pin DIN male.
- Pin numbering follows the Commodore DIN convention, which does not match the standard IEC 60130-9 pin order for 6-pin DIN connectors.
- Analog RGB input specification: 1V ±0.5 Vpp, 75 ohm input impedance.
- Separate H and V sync are required; composite sync is not supported on this input.
- This input is present on the 1084 and 1084S only. The later 1084D and 1084DS replaced both DIN inputs with a single DE-9 connector.
- The Amiga DB-23 video port provides analog RGB on pins 3 (Red), 4 (Green), and 5 (Blue) at 75 ohm, with HSYNC on pin 11 and VSYNC on pin 12, making it directly compatible with this input via a suitable cable.
