The ECU - Electronic Control Unit in the 1998–1999 Mitsubishi 3000GT (Z16A chassis) manages the multi-point injection system for the 3.0 litre 6G72 V6 engine. The engine control unit uses the same four-block ECM connector family as the 1994-on cars (terminals grouped here as A/B/C by circuit function). The 3000GT shares its platform and ECU connector with the Dodge Stealth. Note: the terminal numbering below reflects a later (1997-on) calibration and is not reproduced in the 1992–1996 factory terminal-voltage chart, so several assignments differ from the 1994–1997 tables on this site and could not be fully verified against a primary source.

The ECU connector system consists of three separate inline connectors (A, B, and C) keyed to prevent mismatching. Connector A carries the six fuel injector drive signals for the 6G72 V6. Connector B groups the primary sensor inputs — coolant temperature, air flow, intake air temperature, and atmospheric pressure — alongside ECM ground references.
