The Dodge Stealth DOHC is a badge-engineered variant of the Mitsubishi 3000GT (Z16A platform), sharing an identical 6G72 3.0 L V6 engine management system. The ECU uses the same four-block ECM connector family as the 1994-on cars (terminals grouped here as A/B/C by circuit function). The final US-market Dodge Stealth was the 1996 model year; later designations in this range refer to export-market continuations using the same platform. Note: the terminal numbering below reflects a later calibration and is not reproduced in the 1992–1996 factory terminal-voltage chart, so several assignments differ from the 1994–1997 tables on this site and could not be fully verified against a primary source.

The ECU connector is a three-piece assembly (A, B, C) split by circuit function: injector drive signals occupy Connector A; sensor inputs and ECM grounds occupy Connector B; oxygen sensor and remaining analogue inputs occupy Connector C. Pin numbering is non-contiguous within each section, reflecting the full terminal chart from the service manual where only a subset of pins carry documented signals on this variant. The Dodge Stealth R/T (DOHC naturally aspirated) and R/T Twin Turbo share the same Z16A platform as the Mitsubishi 3000GT SL and VR4 respectively; ECU hardware and connector geometry are identical between the two nameplates.
Signals
- Injector 1–6 — sequential MPI fuel injector drive outputs for each cylinder of the 6G72 V6; driven by the ECU at battery voltage with a low-side switch
- Water Temperature Sensor — analogue input from the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor; used for fuelling enrichment and fan control
- Engine Ignition Signal — crankshaft or distributor reference pulse input used to synchronise ignition timing
- ECM Ground — chassis/power ground return for ECU internal circuitry (two separate ground pins, 46 and 58, provide noise isolation)
- Ground for various sensors — dedicated sensor return ground, kept separate from power ground to reduce signal offset errors
- Atmospheric Pressure Sensor — analogue input from the barometric pressure sensor; used for altitude compensation of fuel delivery
- Volume Air Flow Sensor — analogue input from the air flow meter (Karman vortex or hot-wire type); primary load signal for MPI fuel calculation
- Air Intake Temperature Sensor — analogue input for inlet air temperature; used to correct injector pulse width for air density
- O2 Sensor (Front) — dual pins (71, 72) carry the heated oxygen sensor signal and heater control for the upstream (pre-catalyst) sensor
- O2 Sensor (Rear) — dual pins (73, 74) carry signal and heater control for the downstream (post-catalyst) oxygen sensor used for catalyst monitoring
- Throttle Position Sensor — analogue input providing throttle opening angle to the ECU for load detection and acceleration enrichment
- Vehicle Speed Sensor — pulsed speed signal from the transmission output shaft sensor; used for idle control and speed-density calculations
- Manifold differential pressure sensor — analogue input for intake manifold pressure relative to atmosphere; used as a secondary load reference
