ECU - Electronic Control Unit Connector.
The RB26DETT is a 2.6 L twin-cam twin-turbo inline-6 engine fitted exclusively to the Nissan Skyline GT-R across the R32 (BNR32, 1989–1994) and R33 (BCNR33, 1993–1998) generations. Engine management is handled by the Nissan ECCS (Electronic Concentrated Control System), which provides sequential multi-point fuel injection and electronic ignition timing from a single ECU. The R32 GT-R uses a 64-pin primary ECU; the R33 GT-R carries a revised unit with ATTESA-ETS integration. Pinout tables from one generation should not be assumed to match the other, as each represents a distinct ECU revision.

Notes
The R32 BNR32 GT-R ECU is a 64-pin unit specific to the RB26DETT application; pinouts differ from the R32 GTS-T (RB20DET, 76-pin) and must not be interchanged. The R33 BCNR33 GT-R uses a revised ECU that integrates ATTESA-ETS electronic torque-split control signals. The ECCS section of the factory workshop manual (Section B3 — Trouble Diagnosis, ECCS Control Unit Input/Output Signals) documents all terminal functions and circuit diagrams. A Nissan CONSULT diagnostic interface connects to the ECM via a dedicated data-link connector; the ECM exposes CHK, IGN, RX, and TX signal lines to CONSULT.
Signals
- Tachometer Signal — engine speed output to instrument cluster tachometer
- Power Ground (Engine Control Module) — main ECM power earth, chassis-side
- Mass Air Flow Sensor Ground — dedicated signal earth for the MAF sensor circuit
- Mass Air Flow Sensor — analogue voltage from the hot-wire MAF sensor; used for load calculation
- Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor — analogue input from the coolant temperature thermistor; used for fuelling and ignition correction
- O2 Sensor Signal (Pin 29) — analogue lambda feedback from the upstream oxygen sensor (bank 1)
- Sensor Ground — common earth reference for analogue sensor inputs
- Throttle Position Sensor — analogue voltage proportional to throttle plate angle
- Vehicle Speed Sensor — pulse signal from the gearbox-mounted VSS; used for ECCS fuelling and ATTESA integration
- O2 Sensor Signal (Pin 55) — analogue lambda feedback from the second oxygen sensor (bank 2)
- Injector #1 – #6 — individual low-side injector drive signals; the ECCS fires each injector sequentially in cylinder-firing order
