Console cable for NetServer8/16

Pinout of the RJ-45 to RJ-45 console cable used to connect a PC serial port to the NetServer 8/16 management port via an 8-pin modular interface.

The NetServer 8/16 console cable connects a PC COM port to the device’s management port using an 8-pin RJ-45 modular interface, carrying RS-232 signals for serial console access. The cable maps a subset of EIA-232 signals — TxD, RxD, DSR, GND, RTS, and CTS — between the PC side and the NetServer side. Pins 1 and 2 on the PC side are not connected. No manufacturer specification for this cable has been published.
