The SNES2 (model SNS-101, released in the United States in 1997) carries the same proprietary 12-pin Nintendo Multi-Out connector found on the original Super Nintendo Entertainment System. Unlike the original SNES, the redesigned single-chip board used in the SNS-101 deliberately omits RGB and S-Video output at the silicon level: pins 1, 2, and 4 (RGB) and pins 7 and 8 (S-Video Y/C) carry no signal, and pin 3 does not carry composite sync. The connector labelled “MULTI OUT JACK” on the rear panel accepts the same physical cables as the original SNES, though only composite video and mono audio are present.

Notes
- The SNS-101 motherboard omits the components required for RGB and S-Video output; pins 1, 2, 4, 7, and 8 carry no signal on this model.
- Pin 3 does not carry composite sync on the SNS-101; on PAL variants of the original SNES and GameCube, pin 3 carries +12 V for SCART auto-switching, but this does not apply to the SNS-101.
- The physical connector and cable form factor are identical to the original SNES Multi-Out, so cables designed for the original SNES will fit but will not restore absent signals.
