8 pin DIN female connector at the computer
The SNK Neo Geo AES home console (released 1990) outputs audio and video through an 8-pin DIN socket on the rear of the unit. The port carries composite video, mono audio, and native RGB (red, green, blue) signals along with composite sync and a +5 V supply line, allowing the separately sold FCG-9 cable to deliver an RGB SCART connection. An RF output adaptor (FCG-8) was also available as an optional accessory. The MVS arcade board routes its RGB video and audio through a 56-pin JAMMA edge connector rather than a DIN port, so this connector is specific to the AES consumer hardware.

Notes
- Direction is computer relative to monitor.
- The DIN plug cord is permanently attached to the AES console; yellow RCA carries composite video and white RCA carries mono audio.
- RGB output is carried on the same 8-pin DIN port; the separately sold FCG-9 analogue cable (21-pin SCART) exploits the RGB lines on pins 5, 6, and 8.
- NSYNC on pin 7 is composite sync (negative polarity), consistent with standard RGBS practice.
- A stereo headphone mini-jack with volume control on the front panel provides an alternative audio output.
