The Kodak EasyShare Camera Dock uses a proprietary 22-pin connector located at the base of compatible CX- and DX-series cameras (circa 2003–2005). The dock carries data, charging current, and A/V signals through a single interface: it aligns with the camera via a locator pin and hole system, and connects to a host computer through a standard USB Type-B (‘square’) receptacle on the dock’s rear panel. USB communication follows the USB 2.0 full-speed specification using the PIMA 15740 (Picture Transfer Protocol) for image transfer. Kodak never published a formal pin-level specification for the camera-side dock connector.

Notes
- Probably another pin set to low or high is necessary for video_out_pin activation.
- The dock’s computer-side connector is a standard USB Type-B receptacle; a round 7 V DC jack on the dock rear panel provides power.
- The camera must not be seated in the dock when making the initial USB and power connections.
- The dock connector mates with the camera base via a locator pin and hole alignment system; no force fitting is possible in the wrong orientation.
Signals
- GND — common ground reference; pins 11, 12, and 13 are all ground.
- Audio OUT — analogue audio output routed through the dock to the connected television or audio device (pin 17).
- Video OUT — composite video output (NTSC or PAL, user-selectable in the camera’s Setup menu) routed through the dock (pin 20); the cell label “S-Video output” reflects the original page entry — the signal is composite video.
- +2.4V — function not publicly documented; pins 21 and 22 carry this voltage level.
- Pins 1–10, 14–16, 18, and 19 — function unknown.
