AN/FCC-100 Multiplexer to Promina SA-TRK

DB-25 cable wiring from the DNE Technologies AN/FCC-100 tactical TDM multiplexer user port to the NET Promina SA-TRK trunk module backpanel connector.

The AN/FCC-100 (officially designated AN/FCC-100(V)9/9X in its later variants) is a US military tactical TDM voice/data multiplexer produced by DNE Technologies (later Ultra Electronics DNE Technologies). It mounts in a 7-inch 19-inch EIA rack or optional tactical case and supports up to 16 user interfaces via DB-25 female ports running RS-422/RS-530 balanced differential signalling at rates up to 2 Mbps. The NET Promina SA-TRK (Symmetric-Asymmetric Trunk) is a slide-in trunk module for the Promina 800/400/100/NX1000 chassis, providing symmetric and asymmetric trunking at 16 kbps to 8,448 kbps; its backpanel data connector is DB-37 female and its data port runs RS-530. This cable is a field-integration assembly connecting a DB-25 user port on the AN/FCC-100 to the DB-37 backpanel connector of an SA-TRK module.

Notes

Both interfaces use RS-530/RS-422 balanced differential signalling. The AN/FCC-100 user port is DB-25 female; the SA-TRK backpanel connector is DB-37 female. RS-530 signal pairs follow EIA-422 levels: Pin 2/Pin 14 (TD-A/TD-B), Pin 3/Pin 16 (RD-A/RD-B), Pin 7 (Signal Ground). Cable length should not exceed 60 m at standard data rates on 24 AWG 100-ohm twisted pair; shielded cable is recommended for RS-530 installations.
