The Spectravideo SVI-318 and SVI-328 personal computers, introduced in 1982–1983, use a 5-pin DIN 180° (DIN41524) female socket on their rear panel to carry composite video, mono audio, and power for an optional RF modulator. The connector is labelled the “RF port” in Spectravideo’s own documentation; the supplied cable breaks the signals out to two separate RCA phono plugs, one for composite video and one for audio. Composite video is generated by the TMS-9918A (NTSC) or TMS-9929 (PAL) video display processor, while audio is produced by the on-board PSG, which offers three independently controlled tone channels.

Signals
- +5v — +5 V supply, provided on pin 1 to power an externally connected RF modulator unit.

Notes
The socket on the computer is a 5-pin DIN 180° (DIN41524) female. The standard Spectravideo video/audio cable terminates in a matching 5-pin DIN 180° male plug at the computer end and splits to two RCA phono plugs at the other end: one for composite video (pin 4) and one for audio (pin 3). Pin 1 supplies +5 V to operate an RF modulator accessory when connected; this voltage is not present on the RCA breakout cable.
